When Diane Laskowski answered a want ad for a “busy but happy office” more than ten years ago, she had no idea of the world she was entering. She also could not have known that the office in question would become so dependent on her meticulous, dedicated work.
Diane is the Director of Finance for PLTA and PLTI. When she started her job in 2001 PLTA and PLTI were hiring a bookkeeper for the first time. Prior to that point, bookkeeping duties were shared by employees, but that was a far less than successful situation. Diane was well-suited to both the office and the ever-increasing responsibilities of her job. During the past ten years she has not stopped learning, both on the job and in school. She has attained an Associate’s degree and is well on her way to a Bachelor’s degree in Business. Over this entire time she has maintained a 4.0 average, while also managing a job and a busy family life with her husband, Stan and children Ginny and Kyle.
The PLTA/PLTI office runs smoothly in large part due to Diane’s efforts. Executive Committee and Board members are accustomed to receiving comprehensive and accurate financial reports from her. What most do not see is the amount of work she puts into maintaining the accounts that produce those reports. Her quiet competency has spoiled all of us! In addition, she is always eager to help with PLTI seminars or anything else that needs doing.
We are so grateful for Diane’s talent, enthusiasm and loyalty. She is a valued part of the
